The text contains 9 dialect verses in all (all reprinted, except for "Lullaby"). BAL #4937 notes that in state "A" of the first edition the title page is printed in black and red; in state "B" of the first edition issue, the title page is printed in black and green. The binding and page border decorations by white artist Margaret Armstrong. 8vo, green cloth, with titles and pictorial designs in gilt, black, cream, and maroon; gilt printing and decoration on spine. First edition published / October, 1901.
